The Commissioner of Police Cross River State, CP Rashid Afegbua has decorated 46 newly promoted officers to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).
The promotion, approved by the Police Service Commission (POLSCOM) on the recommendation of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, is said to mark a milestone in the careers of the affected officers.
The ceremony, held at the Command Headquarters, Calabar, was witnessed by members of the Command’s Management Team, families, and loved ones of the promoted officers on Monday August 4th, 2025.
CP Afegbua, while decorating the officers, congratulated and charged them to remain professional, dedicated, and committed to upholding the core values of the Nigeria Police Force.
Speaking on behalf of the newly decorated officers, ASP Emeng John expressed gratitude to God, the IGP, the PSC, and the CP for the elevation, pledging renewed commitment to duty and strict adherence to ethical conduct.
