The Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Bassey Otu has called on all eligible and qualified Cross Riverians to take advantage of the ongoing recruitment exercises into the Nigerian Navy and the Nigerian Army.
He gave the encouragement in a press release signed by his Chief Press Secretary and Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Linus Obogo, dated October 14, 2025.
The Governor noted that applicants would proudly serve the nation. According to the release, the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School Batch 38 Recruitment Exercise has since begun on Thursday, 2nd to Friday, and will run until 31st October 2025, with online registration free of charge via the official portal. The recruitment examination is scheduled for Saturday, 29th November 2025, at designated centres nationwide.
Similarly, the Nigerian Army 90 Regular Recruits Intake online registration runs from 29th September to 14th November 2025 through https://recruitment.army.mil.ng also at no cost. Qualified applicants will undergo screening at Eburutu Barracks, Calabar, the designated state recruitment center.
He enjoins young Cross Riverians to seize the opportunity to build careers in service to the nation, uphold the proud heritage of discipline and valour, and contribute meaningfully to national security and development.
