All Land Allocated Without Due Process Revoked In Cross River

By Sylvia Akpan, Government House Correspondent

The Governor of Cross River State, Senator Bassey Otu, has revoked all Land allocated in the state without proper documentation.

Governor Otu said the gesture underscores his administration’s commitment to accountability and the prudent management of public assets under the People First agenda.

He directed that no backdated Letters of Offer or Allocation be processed, and no new allocation should proceed without proof of statutory payment, except where waivers are expressly granted.

Otu gave the directive in a press release signed by his Chief Press Secretary/Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Linus Obogo, dated November 10, 2025, while announcing the appointment of Surveyor Efiom Edem Ekpenyong as the Secretary of the Cross River State Land Use and Allocation Committee.

His appointment follows the retirement of Mr. Obase Ekaba.
