The Cross River State Police Command has announced that the physical and credential screening exercise for applicants in the 2025/2026 Nigeria Police Force recruitment will commence on Monday, March 9, 2026.
According to a press release issued and signed by the Command Public Relations Officer ASP Sunday Eitokpah, the exercise will run until Saturday, April 18, 2026, and will be conducted daily from 7:00 a.m. at the Police Officers’ Mess, Moore Road, Calabar.
The screening is specifically for applicants who are indigenes of Cross River State and successfully completed the online registration for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force as General Duty and Specialist Police Constables.
The Command stated that all applicants are required to appear for the exercise dressed in clean white T-shirts and white shorts. Candidates must also present specific mandatory documents neatly arranged in two white flat files.
The required documents include two recent passport photographs, evidence of physical and mental fitness issued by a government recognized medical hospital, and a Certificate of Origin duly signed by the Local Government Chairman or Secretary.
Applicants are also expected to present the original and duplicate copies of their National Identity Card or National Identification Number (NIN) slip, original and duplicate copies of their O’Level results, as well as a Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age.
Other documents required are a printout of the application form, a duly completed Guarantor’s Form, and the invitation slip.
The Command warned that applicants who fail to present the listed documents will not be considered for the screening exercise. Candidates are therefore advised to strictly adhere to their scheduled screening dates and comply with all stipulated guidelines.
The release reiterated that the recruitment screening process is completely free of charge and will be conducted strictly on merit in line with the highest standards of professionalism, transparency, and accountability.
Members of the public also urged to report any individual or group demanding money or any form of inducement in connection with the recruitment process.
