Neglected Bumaji Community in Boki Local Government Area of Cross River State, has moved to construct roads for themselves after their representatives and the government have failed them.
With the rain fast approaching, the community moved to see how they can convey their farm produce to their various homes and markets.
In the video below, the community members are seen all hands on deck mixing cement and gravels trying construct some of their roads.
The neglected residents lamented that sick people and pregnant women under labour die on the deplorable road on a daily basis before they could get to a close health center.
“Economic crops perish seasons in and seasons out as there is no means to move them to urban markets,” they cried out.
They pleaded: “We appeal to well meaning compassionate Nigerians to support the works of our hands to liberate us from this plague.
