Governor Ayade To Give Out 100 Kia Rio Cars To Civil Servants May 29

The Cross River State governor, Senator Ben Ayade is set to give out 100 Kia Rio cars, on May 29 on hire purchase to civil servants in the state under a car ownership scheme of the government.

The extended dateline for the Car Ownership Scheme ended at noon today.

The governor initially extended the closing date for the return of application forms for the scheme till noon today, Wednesday 25 May, 2016 in view of the recent NLC strike that affected the civil/public service in Cross River State.

The gesture was to allow more interested civil/public servants take advantage of the scheme.

Governor Ayade, also widened the eligibility for the car-ownership scheme to accommodate other senior civil/public servants who having been properly briefed on the terms and conditions of the scheme are ready to abide by them.

Staff of the unified Local Government Service were also eligible to apply for the scheme.

The Governor, Senator Ben Ayade had earlier announced in a statement from his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Ita, that he will on May 29, 2016 issue one hundred (100) brand-new Kia Rio cars on hire-purchase to workers to mark his first anniversary in office.
