The Cross River State governor, Senator Ben Ayade is set to give out 100 Kia Rio cars, on May 29 on hire purchase to civil servants in the state under a car ownership scheme of the government.

The extended dateline for the Car Ownership Scheme ended at noon today.

The governor initially extended the closing date for the return of application forms for the scheme till noon today, Wednesday 25 May, 2016 in view of the recent NLC strike that affected the civil/public service in Cross River State.

The gesture was to allow more interested civil/public servants take advantage of the scheme.

Governor Ayade, also widened the eligibility for the car-ownership scheme to accommodate other senior civil/public servants who having been properly briefed on the terms and conditions of the scheme are ready to abide by them.

Staff of the unified Local Government Service were also eligible to apply for the scheme.

The Governor, Senator Ben Ayade had earlier announced in a statement from his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Ita, that he will on May 29, 2016 issue one hundred (100) brand-new Kia Rio cars on hire-purchase to workers to mark his first anniversary in office.

Governor Ayade of cross river state worth being emulate for his quality style of governance . How i wish other Governors in the country follows his footstep. The northern Governors should do more for their people in the area of community development. If i may ask how many of the northern Governor travel out to woos investors The time of hand out long gone . Nigeria no longer under military rule where by every thing handed over to some region like quoter system and federal character. Under democratic rule each state free to develop her self ,and expect less from the central government. The more attention placed on islamic studies in the north the less it would develop .But invest heavily on mathematics ,engineering and science and technology I am not only address the northerners but south west Governors also a victim of religion fanatics wake up.Therefore , calling on the current administration to demolish all mosque and church buildings adjacent to the nation international airport to creates more land for airport expansion ,and development . No country in the world masques and churches buildings erect next to international airport it is nothing but hypocracy . If Nigerians truly fear God why then corruption and loot , money laundering remain number one problem of the country with no exception of any one . The world is tired of negative news out of Nigeria where corruption , and other criminal activities caption daily news,.The last hope for the country is the present administration either to kill corruption or corruption destroy the country.
