The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the posting of CP Ajo Geoffrey Ordue as the 49th Commissioner of Police of Cross River State.
His posting was contained in press release made available by the Protocol and Public Relations Head, Police Service Commission, Torty Njoku Kalu, on Wednesday August 5, 2026.
According to the release, CP Ajo Geoffrey Ordue, who was the former CP of INTERPOL Abuja will take over from the promoted and now zonal commander of Zone 6, Calabar, AIG Rashid Bello Afegbua.
Other officers who got new posting including AIG Auwal Musa Mohammed as Commandant of the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano, and seven Commissioners of Police to various State Commands.
AIG Auwal Musa Mohammed is an officer with over 33 years of experience in operations, investigations, intelligence-led policing and training.
The eight CPs deployed are CP Afolabi Wilfred Olutokunbo – former CP Admin, Training and Development now posted as CP of Abia State; CP Ayodeji Faniyan – formerly CP Admin, Police Cooperative Lagos will head the Plateau State command; CP Saka Adewale Ajao – former CP Admin, FCID Annex Gombe posted to Bayelsa State; CP Ajo Geoffrey Ordue – formerly CP INTERPOL Abuja possted to Cross River State; CP Nnanna Oji Ama – formerly CP Intelligence, now CP Anambra State; CP Patrick Daaor – formerly CP Admin, FID Abuja, will head the Edo State police Command; CP Tijani Murtala posted to Jigawa State, and CP Samuel Erale Etaifo – CP Delta State.
PSC noted that postings follow promotions of former CPs and are aimed at sustaining operational exigencies.
Speaking at the session, Hon. Justice Paul Adamu Galumje (JSC, Rtd), a Board Member and Hon. Commissioner 1, in the Commission, charged the officers to stand firm, uphold the rule of law, and remain neutral and diligent.
