The Commissioner for Health in Cross River State, Inyang Asibong has lost his father to the cold hands of death aged 90 family sources told CrossRiverWatch.
The late Pa Eyo Otu Eyo who died almost a fortnight ago was a retired district officer in charge of the then eastern region rose to the rank of a permanent secretary before retirement.
Pa Eyo was until his death the village head of Okwa Iyoki in Creek Town in Odukpani local government area of southern Cross River State.
CrossRiverWatch also gathered that the late nonagenarian was the first bureau representative of the code of conduct bureau in Cross River State and is survived by his wife, Comfort Eyo and children.
The source said burial arrangements were yet to be concluded by the family and will be made public when finalized.
