Voting is presently ongoing in the Cross River State Peoples Democratic Party governorship primary at the U.J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar.

Delegates from the three senatorial districts had earlier done their accreditation in three different locations in Calabar.

Journalists were however barred from taking photos or videoing proceedings at the event which has seen more aspirants stepping down for Senator Ben Ayade, the clear favorite of the state governor to clinch the ticket.

Fidelis Ugbo, Larry Odey and Mike Aniah also stepped down this evening to throw their support behind Senator Ayade.
