Medical And Dental Council Of Nigeria Felicitates With Zana Akpagu @58

Accolades, commendations and felicitations have continued to assail Professor Zana Akpagu, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar on the occasion of his 58th birthday.

Professor Zana turned 58 on Saturday, August 26, 2017 and numerous professional organisations and individuals have hailed him for his developmental strides since he took over as the VC of UNICAL.

The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria were not left out.

The apex medical body presented a gift to the Vice Chancellor on Saturday during the occasion of the 46th sponcio academica/physicians oath taking ceremony held at the Unical International hotel and Conference Center.

While presenting the gift, the Registrar of the Council, Dr. Tajudeen Sanusi applauded the leadership qualities of the VC and expressed the readiness of the Council to continue to work with him to contribute to the ongoing transformation of UNICAL.

The VC in his response expressed gratitude to the Council and reassured them that, as the first Alumnus VC of the ivory tower, he will not relent in his effort to transform the fortunes of the school.

The registrar of the Council was assisted in the presentation by the Chief Medical Director of the Unical Teaching Hospital, Prof. Thomas Agan and the Provost of the College of Medical Sciences, Prof. Maurice Asuquo.
