Ayade’s Aide And Former Bekwarra Council Chairman, Agbaragba Dies

The former Chairman of Bekwarra local government area of northern Cross River, Mr. Emmanuel Ekpo Agbaragba has died.

Mr. Agbaragba who served as council Chairman in the latter days of the administration of Mr. Donald Duke as governor died Thursday morning in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.

He is said to have been suffering from diabetes and as at press time it was still unclear whether he died at home or in a hospital.

He was appointed as the Secretary of the Cross River State Boundary and Conflict Resolution Council in October 2016 by Governor Ben Ayade.

His death comes shortly after that of the Paramount Ruler of Bekwarra, HRH, Stephen Omang whose last notable public outing was the Cross River Northern Festival, NorthFest on September 30, 2017.
