The family of Mrs. Rose Agianpe Ubua, a mother, grandmother and aunt remembered for her Christian faith and love for family, has announced her burial arrangements following her death on August 29, 2026, after a brief illness.
Mrs. Ubua, who was 70 years old, will be laid to rest in Obudu, Cross River State, with the family describing her death as a painful loss but submitting to the will of God.
According to the funeral announcement signed by Professor Jude Ubua on behalf of the family, the deceased lived a fulfilled life as a Catholic Christian and was loved and cherished by those around her.
The funeral program begins on Friday, October 9, 2026, with a vigil and Christian wake scheduled for 8 Okwel-Obudu Road, opposite Liberty Guest House, Obudu, from 8 p.m.
The funeral Mass will hold on Saturday, October 10, at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Obudu, after which interment will take place immediately at the family’s compound at 8 Okwel-Obudu Road, opposite Liberty Guest House.
The family has invited relatives, friends, colleagues and well-wishers to join them in honoring the memory of Mrs. Ubua and supporting the family as they bid farewell to their loved one.
Professor Jude Ubua, who signed the notification, is a Professor of Animal Physiology and Reproduction at Taraba State University.

Goodwill messages are expected to reach the family on or before Tuesday, September 28, 2026, to enable them to finalise arrangements for the funeral program, the announcement contained.
