The 2026 first Carnival Calabar Dry Run will take place tomorrow, Sunday October 18, 2026, as preparations continue for the annual carnival.
Residents of Calabar and road users are informed to take note as major routes will be blocked.
while the kickoff is by 1:30pm the Millennium Park, Calabar, blocking of carnival routes will commence at 11:am.
The event will give carnival participants an opportunity to practise their performances and prepare for the main carnival celebration slated for December, 2026.
Carnival Calabar is an important cultural event in Cross River State. It attracts people from different parts of Nigeria and beyond. It is seen as one of Africa’s biggest street party.
