The Minister of State for Industry, Senator John Owan Enoh, who doubles as Director of the Directorate of Manufacturing and MSME Sector Mobilization of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, has inaugurated “Project Beyond 2027” Excos.
He gave the charge during the Tinubu/Shettima Project Beyond 2027 in collaboration with Senator John Owan Enoh, inauguration of the Cross River State Project Beyond Exco and Polling Unit Structure.
Inaugurating the Excos at the event held at Atu field, Calabar South Local Government Area of Cross River, tasked them to maximumly deliver votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Bassey and every other APC candidates in the state.
He warned that the mistake that befell the APC in the state – Peter Obi winning during the 2023 general elections, not to repeat.
“In the 2023 election, out of 18 local governments, our president only won seven. Atiku Abubakar won one. Ten of Cross local governments were won by Peter Obi,” he said.
He continued: “The determination of Project Beyond Cross River in working with the state leadership of the APC is to make sure January 16th is 18 over 18. So for those of you that have been inaugurated as either Excos or as polling unit structures of Project Beyond, the assignment is simple.
“That January 16th, we want seven local governments of the seven local governments of the south to all deliver. And that delivery is not just slim victories. We are interested in the quantity and the volume of votes.”
He charged the team to go door-to-door, communities, villages and crusade for the APC.
“So we need you to go back to your wards, go back to your communities, go back to your pulling units that you are designated for. Knock the doors to houses. Go to markets. Check everywhere. And get people to understand why it is important that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu gets their votes to return back.”
He thanked the national leadership of Project Beyond for making Cross River to be part of other communities of states across Nigeria that have Project Beyond in them.
With the inauguration, the Minister said, Cross River has joined other previous states across the country to have structures of Project Beyond.
The Senior Special Assistant to the president on Industrial Training and Development/Trustee, Director Strategic Communication of Project Beyond, Hon. Adamson Oluwatosin Ayinde, giving the journey of Project Beyond, said the project started in 2021 with headquarters in Abuja.
He thanked President Tinubu for the giant strides made – job creation, employment, support and among others, especially for young people within the past few years.
Highpoints of the inauguration were oath taking, cultural dance and among others.
