By Ushang Ewa

The member representing Ogoja/Yala federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Honorable Jarigbe Agom (PDP) has debunked claims that he is crediting the accounts of the new intakes into the Cross River University of Technology from his constituency with the sum of NGN75,000 each.

Mr. Agom took to Facebook to debunk the claim after an aide to Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River on Non-Indigenes/Muslim Affairs, Abdukarim Adam had made the claim.

“I didnt give 75k to our Youths who got admission to Crutech . I cant defend this. Karimu got the wrong INFO. I will give financial assistance to students who actually need it but through Community leaders.I will not lie about what I haven’t done (sic),” wrote Jarigbe as a comment on the thread of Mr. Abdukarim’s post.
