The Senator representing Ikot Ekpene Senatorial district, Akwa Ibom State in the Red Chambers, Godswill Akpabio has warned that the activities of herdsmen are increasing and worrisome, suggesting that job creation is the solution.
The Senate Minority Leader made the assertion in Calabar yesterday while delivering his remark as the Chairman of the occasion marking the 70th birthday of Chief Asuquo Ekpenyong, CEO Davandy Group at the Calabar International Conference Center (CICC).
According to him, “We can stop our kids from becoming herdsmen with the Cross River rice and garment factory.”
The former Governor of Akwa Ibom State enumerated the various achievements of Governor Ben Ayade in Cross River State which he described as “the most peaceful State in Nigeria.”
Senator Akpabio further stated that Cross River State has witnessed mechanical improvement by the current administration.
While concluding, he stated that, “With the way things are going, in 2019 Ayade will be the first Governor to emerge unopposed in this country.”
