A legal practitioner in Calabar, the Cross River State capital, Barrister Egbara Owa, has accused the APC National Vice Chairman, South-South Mr. Hilliard Etta of misinforming the public concerning the contention for the State chairmanship.
Mr. Owa made the accusation on Sunday, on air while speaking as a guest on “The Dialogue With Agba Jalingo” which airs on Hit 95.9 FM Calabar, where he said that “Mr. Etta is one of the gladiators in the crisis rocking APC in the State.”
In his statement, Barrister Owa posited that although Mr. Hilliard Etta is part of the National Exco of APC, “he cannot determine the status of the State Chairman.”
He also maintained that the National Office of the party had conducted an election where Mr. Etim John emerged as the State Chairman.
Concluding, Barrister Egbara maintained that until the National Exco of APC directs otherwise, Etim John remains APC Chairman in Cross River State.
