The Cross River State House of Assembly legislative complex Calabar has been given a facelift.
The long-overdue facelift is meant to provide a conducive environment for robust legislative duties and enhance productivity for both lawmakers and staff of the State House of Assembly, according to the Speaker Hon. Eteng Jonah Williams.
Speaking on the development, the Speaker of the House, Hon. Eteng Jonah Williams thanked Governor Ben Ayade for fulfilling his promise to the lawmakers.
Stressing that, the ongoing renovation is a perfect testimony of the healthy working relationship among the three tiers of Government in the State.
He equally pledged the support of his colleagues to the Ayade-led Government in order to continually put smile on the faces of the people.
It will be recalled that, it is Governor Ben Ayade’s company that built the legislative complex – Leophina Construction Company.
During the 7th Assembly led by Hon. Larry Odey, Ayade who at the time was representing the North in the Senate was to be summoned for shabby job done by his company, but the Assembly’s courage was deflated by the election.
