The Local Government Chairman of Ogoja – Emmanuel Ishabor and the Chairman of Boki – John Ewa have both inaugurated a committee set up to look into the immediate and remote issues of a land dispute between Ndok Community of Ogoja and Njua community of Boki.
Both communities have been at loggerheads over a parcel of land crisscrossing the communities.
The move was made as part of the peace-building process to put an end to the land dispute.
Inaugurating the twelve-man committee in the Executive Chairman of Ogoja’s Office, both Chairmen charged members to establish a mechanism for the amicable resolution of the land disputes between both communities.
The Committee is tasked to ensure the resolution will bring lasting peace among both communities and LGAs.
