Female Commercial Drivers Engage FRSC On Road Safety In Cross River

The Female Commercial Minibus Drivers Association of Cross River State has convened a crucial meeting with officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in a proactive move to enhance road safety and foster a forward-thinking approach. 

Led by the President, Asibe Ifeoma Philomena, the association sought to collaborate with the FRSC to identify and address key safety concerns on the state’s roads.

The meeting is a significant step towards improving road safety in the state and demonstrates the Association’s commitment to responsible and safe driving practices.

Strategies for reducing accidents involving commercial vehicles, enhancing driver training and capacity building, promoting road safety awareness among passengers and pedestrians, and encouraging adherence to traffic regulations were among other key discussions.

According to the President, who doubles as Women Leader of Cross River State Unified Minibus Drivers Association, female commercial drivers recognize the critical role in ensuring the safety of their passengers and fellow road users.

She said the partnership with the FRSC will enable them contribute meaningfully to the state’s road safety agenda.
