According to the Chancellor, Arthur Archibong the institution which is mentored by the University of Calabar has no motivation in the donation rather, it is born out of the state of things at the moment.
He added that, the State Government need support in making sure the disease is prevented in the State.
“We don’t have motivation apart from the state of things now. It is a type of health war against humanity. We have to do everything possible to support the effort of the Governor in ensuring it does not come anywhere to Cross River State. We will do everything to support their efforts.” He said.
In her response, Dr. Betta Edu after receiving the items lauded the institution for the gesture and being the first institution to support the fight against COVID 19.
She beckoned on all and sundry to join the campaign for a healthier Cross River State.
