Cross River Governor, Senator Ben Ayade on Sunday polled 1,937 votes to emerge the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2019 gubernatorial elections.
Announcing the results at the U.J Esuene Stadium, the Chairman of the PDP’s electoral committee, Honorable Olorogun Tebite and former member of the Delta State House of Assembly said there were 10 voided votes while 2,001 delegates were accredited.
Mr. Ayade was presented as the sole aspirant of the party with other contenders, Paul Ugian and Emmanuel Ibeshi disqualified by the party.
