Governor Imoke’s Domestic aide, Carnival Queen Arrested for Alleged Blackmail

Operatives of the State Security Service have arrested Governor Liyel Imoke’s Personal Assistant on Domestic Affairs, Mr. Jesse Ejemot and his suspected concubine Miss Queeneth Orok, the 2009 Calabar Carnival Queen.

Crossriverwatch gathered that internal power struggle among the governor’s domestic aides had driven some of the aides to use subterfuge to gain the upper hand in their relationship with the governor.

The recent unpalatable stories which have been widely written about the Cross River first lady were also said to have caused anxious moments leaving the governor with suspicions that there was an insider who was feeding the public with privilege information about the cross river first family.

The cross river first lady has suffered bad press in recent months the latest being allegations by the BBC that her NGO is trafficking in children.

A source in the governor’s house told crossriverwatch that “several text messages were said to have been sent to His Excellency’s phone alleging that his CSO, Mr. Arikpo is the owner of Pronto Taxis, and several other company’s that enjoy juicy patronage from the government. The text that eventually broke the camel’s back was when one of such sms alleged that one of madam’s aides was having an amorous affair with madam. Oga had to ask the CSO to track the number”.

According to source, “Operatives from the SSS were said to have moved into action and set up the owner of the number and eventually arrested a lady in possession of the phone who turned out to be the 2009 Calabar Carnival Queen, Miss Queeneth Orok. After her arrest, she confessed that the phone was bought by her boyfriend Jesse Ejemot who has been working with Oga for over a decade now.”

The source continued “That Jesse is the one that has been using the number to send the messages. Jesse was also eventually arrested and he has also confessed to his betrayal of Oga’s confidence in him”

A reliable security source also confirmed to crossriverwatch that Jesse has been arrested along with his mistress. They are said to have been moved to Abuja and may be charged for blackmail and perjury.

But a source from the Queeneth Orok family who spoke to crossriverwatch on condition of anonymity wondered why the SSS were still holding their sister when they have seen the person that has been sending the messages. The source decried the continued detention of the ex carnival queen and called on the governor to have mercy on their sister and let her go.

Crossriverwatch investigations also reveal that the governor is rather routing for a soft landing for his long time domestic aide who is said to be in the know of so many things about him which he will not want the public to know.

Jesse Ejemot in his mid thirties is alleged to be the richest among the governor’s aids and the longest serving domestic aide to Imoke. It was gathered that he has lived and worked with the governor since he was a minister of power and knows volumes about the cross river first family.

Meanwhile heads may roll over the alleged child trafficking as some nurses who were allegedly arrested over the incident have threatened to sue the management of UTCH for their alleged intimidation and harassment.

What are we benefiting from this goverment as Cross Riverians, Nothing is happing in th state, No Business, no Money in circulation. But some few persons in Imoke’s administration will be controling the whole money in the state they by causing untold hardship to it citizen. Well the cold between Jesse Ejemot is not a new thing, we are all awere that he is the one carrying all the funny deals of his boss. The governor will not do any thing to him, if he trieds any thing funny to Jesse, then the whole world will hear the bad side of the governor. In the area of child trafficking if the governor’s wife believed that she is innocent she should tell Cross Riverians the truth about her trafficking business.

  It is such a pity that with all the work the Governors wife is doing in CRS with these teenagers people can actually discuss that she is child trafficking. What a system and what a world.
  People just lack common sense and are easily swayed by sensational news which is obviously what this Cross River Watch is putting out to us and only FOOLS buy such trash. Trafficking babies indeed. It amazes me to see how ignorant and myopic people can be. With everything this State has gone through in the recent past, people still have time for useless and unproductive talk. An obviously self serving lunatic starts spouting some nonsense about child trafficking and everyone is quick to condemn the Governor’s wife. No one remembers that this her NGO has saved the lives of numerous children and young mothers. Some miscreants who are agents of the devil come up with a bogus story and suddenly everyone is up in arms ready to crucify a woman who has been a source of comfort to so many people! Wake up people!!!! How many of you have helped even one child get a better life? How many of you have taken in a young pregnant mother off the streets and given her a place to stay or even some assistance during her time of need? Maybe if we had, then she would not have needed to take on the task herself and give room for some fame chasing, relevance seeking wannabe to go about spouting his hateful tirade. He claims to be a child activist, what has he done to alleviate the conditions of our children? We should be careful of what we say because one day we might be forced to eat our words.
On the issue of the Governor’s aide, let matters unfold and we will see where the chips fall. All those claiming they know more than they do, be careful because you may be called upon to give testimony

Na wa for us-o, We just like bad news so we can carry it far. Her Excellency has done nothing wrong unless it is a crime to care for abandoned babies. Is it wrong to help pregnant girls who have no where to turn? If she had not been there, these girls would have for sure committed abortion at risk to their own lives, or just tried to deliver and drop the baby in the gutter or bush or some other detestable place unfit for new human life. She has saved these girls’ lives, their babies’ lives. Or maybe people just like hearing about deaths of children and thus the outcry against Her Excellency.

Thank God there is God. Vengeance is His! Those bearing false witness against the vessel of God should beware.

As for Jesse, let justice run its course..

The problem with you blind imoke supporters is that you are still not able to wake to the reality of the fact that the dawn has come for plurality of opinion. it is not everyone that must agree with your benefactor. wake up. the future of information dissemination both in the state and beyond lies online. people are beginning to have different avenues of expressing their different opinions and that is the beauty of democracy and a sign of our freedom. get used to it. more and more people will begin to expose the sins of not only Imoke but also all other public servants in the state and hold them accountable to the people of cross river state. if you want to jump at and abuse everyone who holds a different opinion from that of your pay masters then you must pay for plenty of airtime because your work has just started. cross river watch has just opened our eyes that we can even start more whistle blowing sites and hold our leaders accountable in the state. since there are no industries in crs and everyone works for imoke and family, these kinds of patronising comments are not surprising.

  Yeah right Ayama Odey!!!!!!!! weel done. And who are you to talk??? you guys are just Imoke haters. It’s expected of any one in public office to have hatters. It’s also expected to have supporters. But for me it is important that we stay focused. How on earth is it right and will it ever be right that a PA appointed by the Governor should act so abominably. Whatever it is let’s speak up when we should. Is Mrs Imoke doing wrong by saving young girls and their babies. Must we always defile our leaders the way we do. These babies have been dying and abandoned for years nobody does anything now someone decides to do something about it and it becomes a problem. Na wa o!
