The Director General designate of the Jedy Agba Campaign Organization, Dr. Sandy Onor has accused governor Imoke and the leadership of the PDP in Cross River State of being undemocratic in their decision to remove him and other allies of Goddy Jedy Agba from the party caucuses across the three Senatorial Districts of Cross River State.

Senator Imoke who inaugurated the Caucuses of the party in the Northern and Central Senatorial Districts of the state on the 14th and 15th of March respectively changed the headship of the Senatorial District Caucuses as well as weeded out other elements who are not amenable to his choice of successor, one of whom is Dr. Onor his erstwhile Commissioner for Environment.

But in his reaction, Dr. Sandy Onor told CrossRiverWatch that: “The action of the governor and the leadership of the party is to say the least very unfortunate and primitive. I expected them to be more elegant. We all pretend to be democratic but we are anything but it. I sympathize with those who are now in panic mode and are resorting to undemocratic means to fight their perceived enemies. It is a clear indication of how what we are doing is taking a toll on them.

“But removing our names from the caucus will not change anything. We have not been removed from Cross River State. We are on the ground and we are working. Cross Riverians have ears and they are reading and hearing what is going on. How people are been hounded for having the courage to follow their mind in a democracy. It will help in shaping their opinion about the kind of leadership we have in the party and in the state. The action will not deter us, it will not stop us, rather it will further fire our zeal to work harder and ensure we get to the mark we are targeting.”

A political aide to Senator Imoke had told CrossRiverWatch that the removal of Dr Sandy Onor from the caucus was deliberate because he was jumping the gun by declaring his support for Agba whom the governor is not amenable to in his choice of a successor. “In the scale of those whom Oga has in mind Goddy Agba does not feature anywhere and Sandy is backing him; with his removal from the Caucus, let us see how he will make a case for his candidate?” the aide said.

The Governor can go ahead nd make any decision he likes, but he should remember this, there is no champion forever.

The removal shows that u’re not part of their political dynasty. That’s a taste of what d opposition parties face in C’ River -selectocracy n not democracy.

Cool down the pace,Mr. Imoke! Cross River State belongs to us all! And all Sons and daughters of Cross River State origin be they at home, in pseudo-diaspora or in real diaspora are free and qualified to aspire and vie for any position of their choice as long as they meet the requirements. Cross Riverians are also free to support who ever they like or choose. Imoke’s 10 commandments be they written on stone or on paper does not matter at this critical moment! We just have to march on; caucus or no caucus! We are not zombies that are spiritually or other wise remote controlled or manipulated. The days of timidity and docility, in Cross River State are long gone man! Cross River State is not the exclusive inheritance of a selected group of people; who will want to lord over the rest of us.Who gave them the blind authority and raw audacity to tell us what to do man? Why were they sleeping when Bakasi was snatched from us? Why were they not this bold enough to fight for Cross River State’s oil wells that were transferred to Akwa-Ibom?…Only to come out now like dready lions pon Mount Zion to dictate and run things for us… We all have a stake man! By the way what is the fuss about Imoke not being disposed to Goddy Jeddy Agba’s candidacy? As men if Imoke has any personal beef or bone to pick with Jeddy Agba, why not he be bold enough to call him and sort things out… Remember power is transient and does not last for ever! Also remember that “whosoever digeth a pit, shall fall in it…”Let us not live in 2014 and think, reason and act as cave men men of yore man! As far as i am concerned, Satan is at work here; but Jah is in perfect control “itinually” man! Fyah burn dem!

He has forgotten where Obong Victor Atta, Orji Uzor Kalu, Dr. Peter Odili, etc even our own Clement Ebri is now. Those men were lords just a few years ago & now they are cooling of and struggling to be heard. No matter what the ‘king makers’ do now….it shall all come to an end one day with a new generation is control not remembering them since our democracy is not for ‘Service’ bt for selfish personal gains.

Is good to share the feelings of the helpless poor masses, it’s true that whatsoever goes up must come-down today is your turn tomorrow might be another. My worry, how long shall we continue in this tussle and what is our political legacy? which boss is better, is it the out-going or the serving boss? This is the time to review the PDP umbrella. Else we shall continue repeating a mistake over and over because you can not dismissed all the experienced and introduce the inexperience because of loyalty.
