By Jonathan Ugbal: Government House Correspondent

Former Cross River Governor, Mr. Donald Duke and his daughter Xerona, yesterday thrilled audience at the finale of the Miss Africa beauty pageant which saw Mostwana, Gaseangwe Balopi emerge winner.

Xerona had performed the theme song for the event earlier on with the HWOSA choir which drew emotions from the audience at the Calabar International Convention Center.

Xerona was later introduced before the five finalists emerged out of 25 playing her guitar and singing her hit single; ‘Falling’.

Then, just when the audience thought she was rounding off, her dad emerged with a saxophone which drew wide applause from the audience and got his wife, Onari Duke and business mogul, Sani Dangote dancing to their tunes.

The duo danced a few steps and hugged before bowing and leaving the stage together with the five judges and most of the audience giving them a standing ovation at the end of their rendition.
