OBUDU: Man Tie Daughter’s Hands And Legs For Drinking His ‘Mineral’

A native of Abakaliki, the Ebonyi state capital residing in Obudu local government area of northern Cross River is currently in Police custody for tying the hands and legs of his daughter for allegedly stealing his non alcoholic beverage popularly referred to as ‘mineral.’

The man unnamed, is said to have attracted attention when he bound the hands and legs of his daughter who appears to be younger than 15 on Sunday along Bishiri road in Obudu.

Neighbors are said to have alerted his kin from Abakaliki resident in Obudu who arrived the scene minutes later and apologized.

The unidentified man is said to have run away but sources said he was later arrested by the Police and is currently in custody.

This could not be verified as at press time but CrossRiverWatch has reached the Police for comments.

The girl was later cut lose while the Abakaliki and Bishiri road communities are currently engaged in discussion over the matter.
