A former Chairman of Yala local government area, Mr. Gabe Ugor, has said there is need for the state government to focus more on the security of lives than on infrastructure as a panacea to end the lingering plethora of boundary crisis between communities in Cross River and those from neighboring states.
Ugor who was speaking as a guest on a radio program ‘The Dialogue With Agba Jalingo’ on Hit 95.9 FM, Calabar monitored by CrossRiverWatch
He also called for the composition of permanent peace committees consisting of members from the affected communities.
He argued that significant progress can only be made if all parties involved work towards peace and cited instances where dialogue was effective.
