Isaac Eteng, a graduate of geology from the University of Calabar and 22 year old Lilian Christopher, a graduate of the school of sciences in the College of Education l, Akamkpa have emerged winners of the 2018 Leboku pageant.
The pageant is the second public event in the line up of activities leading to the main festival which celebrates the harvest of yams in Ugep community of Yakurr local government area.
And, the duo had emerged as first runner ups in the male and female categories respectively in the 2017 edition of the pageant.
Mr. Eteng hails from Aneja Ijom while Miss Lilian who graduated in 2014 with majors in Economics/Social Studies hails from Usaja Ikpakapit all in Ugep.
They were crowned early Wednesday morning at the Ubi Ujong Inah conference center.

They are to be presented with car gifts and will be presented officially at the main festival.

They are expected to draw up micro projects to promote the rich cultural heritage of Ugep as well as be ambassadors of the Cross River State’s tourism brand.
