Calabar South Women Forum Drums Support For Ayade, Other PDP Candidates

Calabar South Women Forum led by the Chairman, Dr. Inyang Asibong, drums support for Governor Ayade and other PDP Candidates.

Women of Calabar South Local Government Area yesterday turned out enmasse to reassure all the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidates vieing for different political positions in the forthcoming General Elections of their support and commitment, stating categorically that the State is very at home with the Governor Ayade inclusive style of Government and industrialization drive.

An A-list of female political juggernauts led by the Chairman of the Forum, Dr. Inyang Asibong, includes Dr. Chioma Bassey; Wife of Senator representing Calabar South in the Red Chamber, Sen. Gershom Bassey, Deacon Helen Essien Ayi; Wife of the member representing Calabar South, Akpabuyo and Bakassi LGA in the Green Chamber, Apostle Essien Ayi, former Chairman of Calabar South; Hon. Chief Marjorie Asuquo, the Commissioner for Sustainable Development and Social Welfare, Hon. Oliver Orok and his wife.

Others are Hon. Uduak Akiba; former Member of the Cross River State House of Assembly, the Special Adviser Political to the Wife of the Governor, Hon. Esther Bassey, and a host of other dignitaries turned out to air their support for the candidates.

The women could not hold their excitement as they were chanting victory songs and dancing continuously sending a sign of victory in the coming elections and also promised to monitor their votes and ensure the election is free and fair.
