The Cross River Governor, Sen. Ben Ayade has assured Cross Riverians that the ongoing Spaghetti flyover at Odukpani will be ready in twenty four months.
The Governor gave the assurance while inspecting the ongoing projects across Calabar and its environs.
Addressing Government House Press Ayade said, “We have about three levels of bridges across each other, to sweep away the traffic congestions that occasionally characterizes Odukpani junction. We are doing the initial piling work to give the stability to the sub-structure to enable us carry the load from the fly overs that will go across each other. Construction work for the fly over itself is eighteen months but the maximum you look at it is two years.”
While at the Calabar Poultry Farm, he said though the project is at installation stage, the factory will however produce eggs on a commercial scale that would be exported.
He further explained that the feedmill necessary to feed the broilers will be produced at the industrial park, and the poultry farm will house a total of one hundred and thirty two thousands (132, 000) broilers across the six broilers houses.
Also while at the twenty-three megawatt power plant, Ayade called on President Buhari to Fast track the process of documentation, stating that “Electricity is the backbone of any thriving economy.”
The Governor also visited aside the aforementioned projects sites, others such as the Rice Seed and Seedling Factory, Indomie Factory, Piles and Pylon Factory and the CalaPharm.
