BREAKING: University Of Calabar Teaching Hospital Resident Doctors Begin Indefinite Strike Over Salary Arrears, Others

Association of Resident Doctors, University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (ARD-UCTH) has embarked on indefinite strike.

The union arising from an emergency meeting on Monday 18th March 2019 queried the management of the hospital for not responding to their demands issued earlier during a 3 days ultimatum dated 14th February 2019 which led to strike action from 19th – 22nd February, 2019.

According to the association in a memo to the management with reference number ARD-UCTH/Vol.025/03/071, it says it won’t call off the strike until salary arrears of 2014-2016 is fully paid.
