VIDEO: Residents Behead, Burn 3 Suspected Kidnappers In Cross River

Residents of Akpabuyo Local Government Area on Saturday beheaded and set ablaze three suspected kidnappers.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Uduak Okoro, wife of journalist, Mr. Judex Okoro has regained her freedom after been kidnapped.

A video obtained by CrossRiverWatch TV shows the remains of the suspected kidnappers and a motorcycle in flames.

Akpabuyo, Calabar Municipal, Calabar South and Odukpani Local Government Areas which form the area known as Calabar today, have seen an upsurge in abductions in the past five years.

Series of kidnappings have been reported with at least one reported each week.

Mr. Okoro who is the Chairman of the Correspondents Chapel of the Cross River Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, and Correspondent for The Sun Newspapers, told DailyPost that: “my wife has been released, she is in good health. She was released on Thursday by 11.30 pm in Calabar South local government area of the state. We thank God for her release.”

Mrs. Okoro was kidnapped on Tuesday at about 8:30PM at Big Qua axis in Calabar. This was the second time in seven years she had been kidnapped.
