Cross River Governor, Benedict Ayade has again reviewed the curfew he imposed on October 23, 2020.
A statement signed by his spokesman, Mr. Christian Ita and issued Monday afternoon, says the curfew is now from midnight till 6:00AM starting from today, 267 days after it was last eased.
Mr. Ayade had imposed a curfew following the ransacking of palliative warehouses as well as other public and private properties.
It was to combat the looting and arson.
Initially slated to last for 24 hours, Mr. Ayade reviewed it from for 4:00PM to 6:00AM, it was then eased to 6:00PM to 6:00AM and later 8:00PM to 6:00AM.
This will be reviewed a few days later to last between 10:00PM and 6:00AM. This continued until last night with several abuses perpetrated by security personnel.
