The University of Calabar (UNICAL) has suspended the head of its Directorate of Human Resource and Establishment, (HRE) Mrs. Agatha Ikposhi over allegations of documents falsification.
The HRE Director will be investigated by the Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit, her suspension letter, signed by the Varsity’s Registrar, Mr. Gabriel Egbe read.
An alumnus of the institution had levelled allegations of falsification of age, records of service and defrauding the federal government against her.
And, the institution said, her response was, “unsatisfactory.”
The Varsity’s management proceeded to place her on suspension in line with the provisions of the Public Service Rules with effect from today, Wednesday, 16 March 2022.
Mrs. Ikposhi who is to be placed on half salary during the duration of suspension is to hand over all university property in her possession with immediate effect to an officer who has been deployed to take over from her.
She is also enjoined to stay away from the University within the period of her suspension, unless while responding to the invitation of ACTU.
