The principal of West African People’s Institute, Mrs. Mercy Donatus Etim has said the allegation of extortion from students is a fallacy, untrue and baseless.
Mrs. Donatus made the assertion when fielding questions from CrossRiverWatch after a fact-finding visit by the State Commissioner for Quality Education, Dr. Amanke Ebunshua.
The Commissioner earlier in his brief meeting with her cautioned that extortion of any kind won’t be tolerated.
The principal came under fire after a notice surfaced demanding parents and guardians to pay N500 each for her send forth.
