Justice Taiwo Oladipupo of an Abuja High Court has again moved the delivery of judgment in the case between the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, and Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State.
The Judge who had earlier fixed Friday, March, 25th 2022 to deliver judgment on the matter brought to the court by the PDP, shifted the date for judgment to today (Wednesday).
But as the matter was called for hearing, counsel to Ayade, Mike Ozekhome SAN, drew the judge’s attention to the judgment of an appeal court in Enugu that favored Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State.
After hearing from both parties, the judge shifted judgment on the matter till tomorrow, Thursday, 7th April 2022.
The PDP in a suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/975/2021 is asking the court to remove Governor Ben Ayade and his deputy, Ivara Esu from decamping to the All Progressive Congress, APC.
