Cross River State Government To Take Over Running of Adagom Community School

The Cross River State government has confirmed that it is taking over the running and management of Community Secondary School, Adagom in Ogoja LGA.

In a letter signed by Elder Emmanuel Agbor, Director who also serves as Head of Department, Quality Assurance for Commissioner for Quality Education, the Cross River government said a team from the secondary education board will soon visit the community and formalize the handing over.

The letter reads in part;  “This to inform you that the Commissioner for Quality Education, Hon. Dr. Godwin E. Amanke has granted approval for the establishment and running of Community Secondary School, Adagom-Ogoja LGA as a Public Secondary School.

“The School shall henceforth be known/addressed as Community Secondary School, Adagom-Ogoja LGA, and shall be managed by the State Secondary Education Board.

“The Chairman of the Secondary Education Board (SEB), Calabar is hereby requested to visit the school and formalize the process of take-over of the school as approved.

“It is hoped that the host Community will continue to partner with the government in assisting to provide requisite facilities and other equipment for the smooth conduct of academic activities in the school.” the letter read.
