The Cross River State Governor, Sen. Ben Ayade, said the 2022 Carnival Calabar is special.
Governor Ayade said so while declaring this year’s carnival open. The theme is “Agro-Industrialization”.
He commemorated the victims of the bikers parade and urged the President, General Muhammed Buhari to do the same.
The flag off was pronounced by the daughter of President Muhammadu Buhari, Zahra Indimi.
Relatively, in yesterday’s Miss Africa pageant, Miss Precious Onyiye Okoye was crowned Miss Africa 2022.
Miss Precious is 27 years old and a graduate of botany from the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
