The Cross River gubernatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Mr. Effiong Nyong has reiterated his campaign mantra to make the State an economic hub if elected as governor in the March 11, 2023 polls.
Effiong gave the assurance while featuring as a guest on FAD 93.1FM Calabar morning political show ‘People’s Opinion’ where he said his government will be a type that will show Cross Riverians that there is money in the State through the utilization of the natural resources the State is blessed with.
Expressing confidence and optimism going into the election, he pledged that if the mandate is given to him he will rejuvenate and restructure the State civil service with more attention to paying pensions and gratuities, adding that, he will make the State tax-friendly for all investors.
While disclosing that the ADC in the State has aligned with the Labour Party (Obidient Movement), he enjoined Cross Riverians not to be led by money and mortgage their future with immediate peanuts.
