The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Cross River has announced that it will on Friday this week issue Certificates of Return to candidates who won elections in the 2023 elections in the State.
In a statement signed by Anthonia Nwobi, Head Voter Education and Publicity, INEC Cross River State, and dated 27th March, 2023, the commission said the event will hold at the Mike Igini Conference Hall, within the INEC headquarters in the State.
The statement reads in part, “This is to notify the general public particularly the good people of Cross River State that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Cross River State shall issue Certificates of Return to those who emerged winners during the Governorship/House of Assembly Election held on Saturday March 18, 2023 in the State.
“In view of the above, INEC Cross River State has scheduled Friday March 31, 2023 for the issuance of the Certificates of Return to the Governor-Elect and Deputy Governor-Elect and the elected members of the State House of Assembly.
“The event shall take place at the Mike Igini Hall, INEC State Office, Calabar by 10.00am.”
The Commission announced that the event is strictly by invitation.
