The Cross River State Command of the Department of State Services (DSS) has invited the State Correspondent of the Nigerian Tribune Newspaper, Mr. Godwin Otang over his report on the Obong of Calabar power tussle.
The rationale behind the DSS invitation is unclear at press time but Otang is to meet with them today, Wednesday, 24 May 2023.
CrossRiverWatch understands that the Journalist and his medium are under pressure to pull down the report.
A quick check on the Tribune Newspaper website shows that the story has been taken down.
Recall that the Obongship has been a long-time tussle that has led to court litigations and as well as having two factions.
