The Nigerian Police Force has announced date for the mandatory screening of candidates who applied for the General Duty/Specialist recruitment exercise.
The Cross River State Command of the Force announced this in a press release signed by its Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Irene Ugbo for the Commissioner – CP Augustine Grimah, and made available to newsmen.
The screening is scheduled from Monday, January 8, to Monday, January 29, 2024, from 7 am daily in various Commands Headquarters of the country including Cross River.
For that of Cross River Command, the venue is the Police Officers’ Mess, Moore Road, Calabar for indigenes of Cross River State.
Recent passport photographs, National Identity Number (NIN) – slip print- out; certificate of origin duly signed by the Local Government Chairman or Secretary, among other requirements at the screening venue.
Applicants are reminded to note their scheduled date and time, as well as the items.

The Cross River State Police Command wishes to inform members of the public that Physical/Credential screening exercise for all candidates who applied online will take place from 8th – 29th January 2024 at the various Commands Headquarters, Cross River State inclusive.
The Exercise is scheduled to be held from Monday, January 8, to Monday, January 29, 2024, from 7 am daily.
The venue is the Police Officers’ Mess, Moore Road, Calabar for indigenes of Cross River State.
Nationwide, Kindly visit https: apply.Policerecruitment.gov.ng/ to print their invitation slip from 25h December 2023.
All applicants are to appear at the screening centers in their clean white T-shirt and shorts with the following mandatory screening requirements, neatly arranged in two white flat files.
1. Recent passport photographs
2. Evidence of physical/mental fitness from Government recognized Medical Hospital
3. Evidence of Good Character from Traditional Ruler or
Village/District Head of the applicant.
4. Certificate of Origin duly signed by the Local Government Chairman or Secretary
5. National Identity Number (NIN) – slip print-out
6. Original and duplicate copies of credentials – O’Level Result(s), Birth Certificate/ Declaration of Age
7. Print out of the application form
8. Duly completed Guarantor’s form
9. Invitation Slip
10. Two file jackets
Any candidate who fails to present the items (i-ix) mentioned in paragraph 2 above, will not be considered for screening.
Applicants are equally advised to pay attention to their scheduled dates and times, as well as other details and specific guidelines on the screening exercise.
