Governor Otu Appoints 83 Aides, As NYCN Chairman, Former Ayade Appointees Reclaim Spots

The Governor of Cross River State, Senator Bassey Otu has rolled out his volume of Senior Special Advisers, Special Assistants and Personal Assistants, and Director Generals into various offices, boards, and agencies.

The three lists of appointments which came at short intervals were signed by Governor Bassey Otu’s Chief Press Secretary, Emmanuel Ogbeche, and made available late hours of Tuesday 5, March 2024.

Appointment into the board and agencies sees former Chairman of Calabar Municipality, Hon. Effefiong Nta Eke as the Director-General of Cross River State Infrastructure Development Agency; Mr. Joseph Edet Esoh (Lasakara), as Managing Director of Summit Hills and Dr. Vivian Mesembe, as the new Director-General of Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, among others.

The Special Advisers include former Governor Ben Ayade Commissioner for Aviation, Hon. Jake Otu Enyia appointed as Senior Special Adviser on Political Affairs.

Former DG of CRSPHCDA and Commissioner for Health – Dr. Inyang Asibong, appointed as Senior Special Adviser on Gender Mainstreaming; incumbent Chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Cross River State Council – Comrade Dan Obo, appointed as Special Adviser on Youth Mobilization; Ayade’s Deputy Chief Press Secretary – Linus Obogo, appointed as Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.

Others include Ken Aklah as Special Adviser on Power; Phillip Obin as Special Adviser on Digital Economy; Anthony Afufu Ogar as Special Adviser on Students Orientation and others.
