The Jokaina Deck of the National Association of Seadogs, Pyrates Confraternity in Calabar has called on the civilian population to support the Nigerian Police Force to ensure a more secure Cross River State.
This was the focus of the now concluded week of advocacy by the Deck which featured a radio tour, road walk, among others with different speakers taking turns to advocate for improved Police – civilian relationships.
“A policeman is part of the Civilian population, so we try to emphasize that we have to work with Police. Police is our friend. We are collaborating with the Police, the Commissioner of Police is aware,” Francis Bassey Edet, the Vice President of NAS, Jokaina Deck told CrossRiverWatch.

Edet averred that a greater bond will yield a motivated and better Police, prevent a repeat of the #EndSARS protest as well as the arson that followed the protests in October, 2020.
