The Cross River State Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation Development says its attention has been drawn to a fraudulent site circulating messages to supposed beneficiaries of a purported Agricultural loan under the guise of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in collaboration with All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN).
In a press release signed by the Commissioner of Agriculture and irrigation Development, Honorable Johnson Andiambay, said the message which shares a link to a website with required disbursement and clearance fee of 2000 (Two Thousand) is solely intended to scam unsuspecting members of the public of their hard earned money.
The ministry noted that after its investigation, no such loan scheme at the moment.
The public are advised to take note as anyone who falls prey to such fraudulent schemes as the said Agricultural Loan website or any other platform does so at their perils.
