Cross River Senator Empower Farmers With Grant, Nano Tech

In a bid to boost agricultural productivity and alleviate poverty, Sen. Asuquo Ekpenyong Jrn, representing Cross River Southern senatorial district, has facilitated a training program for 200 farmers in his constituency.

The program, themed: “Training, Empowerment, and Provision of Agricultural Grant in Selected Communities in Cross River South Senatorial District,” was sponsored by the Senator through the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction.

The four-day training, held in Calabar, focused on the application of nano technologies to mitigate post-harvest losses in grains, tubers, and vegetables.

Participants received practical knowledge and financial assistance to enhance their agricultural practices.
