Cross River-born Major General Emmanuel Ejim-Emekah, has been appointed General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 6th Division of the Nigerian Army in Rivers State.
He was redeployed to take over as Director of Operations, at Army Headquarters, Abuja on July 29, 2023.
Major General Emmanuel is the first to hail from Bekwarra Local Government Area of Cross River State to be elevated to the rank.
The Major General was in December 2018, promoted to the rank of Brigadier General in the Nigerian Army and in December 2022 promoted to the rank of Major General.
Major General Emmanuel studied at the Nigerian Defence Academy, 42 regular course, Mogadishu Battalion in 1995.
Also, he is a product of the National Defence University, Pakistan in 2017 as well as served in the Nigerian Army War College.
