The Cross River State Political Network (CRISPON) has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Bassey Otu of the All Progressive Congress (APC) for second term.
The support and endorsement ceremony held at the U. J Eseune Sports Stadium, supporters from the six Local Government Areas of the southern senatorial district of the state made up of Bakassi, Akpabuyo, Calabar South, Calabar municipality, Odukpani, Akamkpa and Biase, all throwing their weight on the duo.
Speaking to supporters during the endorsement, the Director General of CRISPON Dr. Michael Nku Abuo, highlighted the group’s unflinching commitment and support toward the APC since the 2019 general election, vouched that the group will continue to stand with the ruling party come 2027 polls.
He said: “we want to use this occasion to say that we are totally and holistically in support of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu as it comes to the 2027 election. We are in total support of his Excellency Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu as it comes to the 2027 general election.”

He seized the occasion and prayed President Tinubu to look into Cross River State and provide opportunities for Cross Riverians at the national level by appointing them into ministries, departments and agencies.
His prayers comes as Cross River State is said to suffer marginalization in appointment from the national level.
Prince Michael drew the attention of the government to the bad state of Calabar-Ogoja highway, Calabar-Uyo road and the seaport.
Responding to the endorsement and support given to the party in the state on a telephone call, Governor Bassey Otu while apologizing for his absent in the gathering, hinting that he was out of the state for an urgent security meeting in Abuja.
“I want to assure all of you that the government is doing everything to bring more development for all. I employ all of you to continue to believe in what you are doing. My assurance is that we are moving forward and not backward, we will open up opportunities and I will be able to touch everybody.”
