The Governor of Cross River State, Senator Bassey Otu, has taken delivery of two new aircraft as part of his administration’s commitment to revitalizing the state’s aviation sector.
The aircraft were received by the Governor and his entourage at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Friday July 25, 2025, marking a significant milestone in the state’s efforts to improve air travel connectivity.
The development is expected to ease the frequent flight cancellations and delays that have long frustrated Cross Riverians and visitors traveling to and from the state.
Governor Otu was accompanied by his wife, Bishop Eyoanwan Otu; former Minister of Culture and Tourism, High Chief Edem Duke; Commissioner for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Mr Oden Ewa; Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Chief Felix Idem; Senior Special Adviser on International Cooperation and Investments, Mr. Victor Edet;
Special Adviser, Cross River Liaison Office, Mrs. Sarah Archibong; Special Adviser on National Assembly Matters, Hon. Chris Mbu-Ogar; Senior Special Assistant Party Affairs, Mr William Atoe and other distinguished Cross Riverians.
